Statistics for the ftp server

Anyone here has setup a script to monitor some stats on the ftp server, such as files downloaded, ip address of visitors etc. Actually jumpline tell me the logging of the ftp server is unable, they suggest me to use a script of some kind. Any idea?

OK - i have learned that there is no ftp stats available. So i have installed NET2FTP as a front end to my ftp downloads. Net2Ftp has statistics.
