As every one I am having many problems trying to understand VDS.
I get this message:

You have specified an invalid email address.

What could it be.?

Thank you for any help.

Just a Thought:
Gemstream should spend more time posting more troubleshooting cases than keep answering the same questions over and over.
I rarely solve my problems with their answer.
If they try to understand my problem, a couple of mails would do the job.
I send 10~20 emails a week trying to solve problems or looking for information.
I follow their advice and now I am stuck with $400 in their account.
